His account on Pixiv uses AI to make art.

What gives you that idea? I would love to see your proof for this random accusation, considering his account on pixiv has art from 2021 in the same artstyle, never mind the sketches and linework uploaded recently.

It's the sheen. While earlier works looked more natural, the recent ones look to have the same sheen and shine to the character and environment like post #7365724.

It's become something like a fingerprint for machine tools that have glossed over and retouched the work.

Of course if I'm wrong I'll rescind my comment but when I see that shine and sheen, or something similar to that, I'll immediately get suspicious.

The issue with this logic is it doesn't leave open the possibility that an artist may add sheen without AI involvement because they like it. Personally, I'm not suspicious about this artist. The strands of hair on post #10270623 near the forehead are the kind of detail that you don't see on generated pieces; it's a very human signature.

True indeed. Still, my first time encountering the artist and the sheen is something that always makes me suspicious so I'll remain weary of him for now.

Better get to work tagging the 141k works tagged with shiny skin as AI then.
