Depends on what point in the war. The Zero was one of the most advanced fighters in the world when it first took the field, and remained superior to most of its opponents until confronted by the P-38 and F6F. Even then, it retained the advantage of being more agile, but it was underpowered and underarmored compared to them. That is, of course, not factoring in whether the girls will blow them apart. I've never actually seen Strike Witches, personally.
EDIT: It seems tail numbers AI-113 and AI-115 are modified T-6 Texans used in the Commemorative Air Force's Tora! Tora! Tora! airshow. At least AI-113 participated in the filming of the movie with the same name...I'm not sure about AI-115.
