This piece was done as a commission for a client's FFXIV-based character "As'tarotte" and her companion dragon, of which I designed on my own! The theme of the image was to have the two of them soaring side-by-side in a vast skyscape, which proved to be a more complex background than I'd executed previously. The girl's initial perspective and look also had me struggling for a good while, but once she and the dragon were fleshed out, finishing the rest of the image went smoothly. In the end, I greatly enjoyed working on the project and seeing it get to where it is now!
