not quite. that's not a gashapon, it's as it reads; it's a trading figure. you actually have to paint it yourself, which is really a hassle if your not into the resin kit thing. i know, i brought one unknowing :P
Actually, you're thinking of Garrage Kits, Trading Figures are prepainted (at least, all the ones I've bought have been, and I've bought a fair few) The difference between Trading Figures and Gashapons is, Gashapons are the ones that come out of the machines, where as trading figures are sealed boxes with a random figure inside (which normally is a little bigger than a gashapon figure)
The garage kits are the resin models that you have to assemble and paint yourself.
I can only guess Archer's noticed a mistake in his master's tastes and is correcting it. :p
