Today, we’re featuring a special illustration and message from [TONKO].✏️

Congratulations on the 30th anniversary of Metal Slug!
Shortly after joining SNK, the very first character illustrations I had the opportunity to create were for the PlayStation version of the original Metal Slug—Marco, Tarma, and Instructor Sophia.
Since then, I’ve been fortunate to stay involved with the series in many different ways, creating numerous illustrations across arcade, console, and mobile platforms.
It’s a game I truly love—one that has been part of my life for many years.
My heartfelt thanks to all the fans around the world, and I hope you will continue to support the Metal Slug series!
