People die in one episode, back without explanation in the next (or maybe with a very lame excuse explanation. "You ordered to shoot not to kill") Mao, all in all, was a terrible character who provided a deus ex machina and nothing else. The mecha fights are too predictable and if you compare the level of tactics that Lulu uses to lets say... Death Note's Light, he's completely incompetent.
