You need to understand the embedding notes to match the text and background can take awhile. I was *literally* in the process trying to adjust the radial-gradient second covering on the left side. But now I got a 1-hour timer on that?? That's unbelievable.

I know it takes time. That is not an excuse to submit and leave notes that cover the text. This time the note was left covering text with no content for ~40m with no changes and no other notes. The next change was an hour after that. The notes system has a preview feature. It's not too much to ask to use the site's features and common sense to not leave the original text covered with no indication that it was ever there for almost 2 hours. This isn't the first time it's been an issue either.

But nothing can be completed in less than half an hour. We have our limitations. Either we take our time trying to bake the cake, or there will be no cake at all.

People cannot be trusted to finish something they left half-finished (this has gone wrong plenty of times before), and even then, leaving something half-finished for multiple hours is just not acceptable because it looks like shit. Nobody is going to get mad at you for adding some notes before others, or tweaking the formatting after you saved the initial note, but leaving unformatted notes for longer than necessary is borderline vandalism.

If you're aware of the fact that you can use previews and just save it elsewhere maybe actually do that instead of leaving an empty note covering text with no indication that it's there again. That way you can take your time without creating issues.
This isn't the first time it's happened. Last time you left for "a break" (comment #2602953). It shouldn't be left in such a state for so long anyways, but excuses like that don't help at all, and don't leave room for favorable interpretations when it happens again.

So let me get this straight: If I were to do another time-consuming, embedded note trying to blend a radial-gradient background, make the first cover, then start the *next* radial-gradient background — and then while my tab is open on the same page, trying to prepare the next cover on the canvas I've already started, you (or a similar user) come in like an hour (or less), see my current canvas, then immediately start pointing fingers at me, all because you strongly believe I'm away. This is now what I'll be facing in the future because of one's personal time constraint, yes?
I don't know what kind of weird theoreticals you're tring to construct here. It's not difficult: don't leave embedded notes unformatted for an hour, because it looks like shit for everyone who comes across it in the meantime. It doesn't matter how difficult it is, you don't have to do it, so don't.
Builders have a chronic penchant for leaving things half-assed. Either make the time to do the job properly or don't do it until you can. There are tons of things you can do instead; you can even register on Testbooru and prototype your notes there until you're ready to copy the finished content here.
I'm just going to ban you the next time you deface a post with shitty unfinished embedded notes.
As has been said a morbillion times, if you don't have time to tag you don't have time to post. The same concept applies to notes. If you don't have time to finish, don't submit. Copy the note content somewhere else like you've been told to do and said you know you can do and finish it when you have the time.
Then I don't know what else invokes the definition of work while I'm genuinely doing what I love.
Stop exaggerating. Saving an unfinished note in a text file is trivial compared to the precise background formatting you're already doing. It doesn't even take a minute to open Notepad, copy the text, and save it on your computer. I don't understand why you think adopting such a simple measure to avoid inconveniencing other users would be too much of a hassle for you.
Edit: Okay, after looking at your notes, it seems we underestimated the issues involved in this case. Saving on a separate text file or using Testbooru is actually not an ideal solution for this post. As far as I can tell, there isn't a way to precisely set the location and size of the box. Your background effects are dependent on a specific position and size, meaning if you closed the page and came back to it later, you would most likely end up placing the note somewhere else and the values you put in wouldn't work. I can also see why you might want to save the background note right away, since if it's saved, you don't have to worry about accidently moving it while working on your other note.
I think if you brought up these issues in the first place, the other users would be more sympathetic and try to help you find a solution. Still, I apologize for being so harsh earlier.

What we need is a feature or userscript that lets you input a value for note position and size so you can save those values to a text file with the note contents.
In the meantime, the best solution would probably be to just leave the page open and avoid saving the notes in the same area until all of them are complete.

And that is perfect response for this entire discussion, Blank User. Well done. This is what I've been trying to convey with what I've been doing in the past years — all which require precision. And picture this too: If I put preview of the final code and hit 'cancel', then lost all my positioning progress due to some computer or browser error/crash, then I would have to spend yet more time trying to fix the positioning, even though I've already backed up the code time and time again. That is the dilemma what we're all faced when it comes to detailed embedding.
Thank you for clearing this up, Blank. I'll still be conscious of keeping my note coding saved and ready to post — when they're ready. All I ask is patience from every party. And if a future note update like a "drafted notes system" comes into fruition, then it will certainly help avoid future discussions like this.
There's TranslatorAssist (topic #20687) which activates upon entering notes mode. One of its features is to see the coordinates of the note box, both its X and Y placement as well as it's width and height. If you don't have it, then you should get it, especially if you're going to put in the time and effort to do embedded notes; part of that effort should be making sure you have the right tools or asking around for any. In that way you can prototype them on Testbooru and then bring them over, or you can translate first and style later. Whichever method, leaving unfinished embedded notes is not okay.
If you're having trouble with some part of the site, then you need to ask someone instead of getting into trouble. If you've already been told not to do this, then the answer isn't to keep doing it - it's to explain why you're doing it so people can give you an alternate solution. Too many bad things on this site happen because people don't talk about their problems and that's not an excuse in any capacity.
