Appearently there is a voice actor connection, Agumon's most prominent voice actress Sakamoto Chika voices Jin Kyōsuke in Gekitou! Crush Gear Turbo, while Shibayama Junpei's aka Blitzmon's voice actor Shitanda Michael voices Oriza Jirō.
Turbomon are based off Crush Gears from the Crush Gear anime series.
