    A reference to a trainer named "Doctor Kiritsugu" in BW2, who himself is speculated to be a reference to seiyuu Koyama Rikiya having voiced "Doctor Doc" (aka "Doctor Proctor") in episode 047 of the original Pokemon anime, who in turn is a well-known reference to Koyama's breakout role dubbing over Dr. Doug Ross in ER (played by George Clooney).

    So this is a character reference to a seiyuu reference to a dub-Clooney reference. Gotta love it.
