Can't we just tag those deserving of "I know what you're thinking pool" as mind reading?

It is unfortunately seldom we see canon like "dialogue" with Satori. I mean most of the encounters in SA degenerated into Satori reading her opponent's mind aloud and inserting her own responses in between.

Does Satori really need mind reading power to be able to know what Sanae was thinking though? I thought it's was as clear as day.
