I'm I the only one who is genuinely disturbed by this art? Let me say that this guy knows his anatomy and the way he draws bodies realistically and almost lifelike is amazing.
The only thing that bugs me is the fact that within this realism, there's a cutesy anime face that just doesn't fit with the rest of the body. It would be like if you took the Statue of David and give him a cartoon face. Maybe it would be less weird if he drew a more realistic-looking face, but I'm just kinda uncomfortable with this art.

Almost everyone that I've introduced to this style of anime art has said something to the same effect. But that is the charm of this style. Personally, I think ishikei and tanaka_takayuki are two artist who have mastered blending realistic human form with with anime style facial features.
I don't think the face is lacking in detail compared to the rest of the body, so there's no clash in that sense. Also it's not like this art was unnatural looking like rendered 3D mimicking anime style (not to mention real photos twisted to resemble anime physique). It looks drawn, just very skillfully, so it's okay in my book.

Its the hair and eyes. The hair isn't fine detailed enough and also the eyes and hair are too flat in color to match perfectly. It's still nice though of course..
