Looks like the Company president was affected by the Yamame Effect....

    After Trans:
Oh, it was about Doujin books. Prices are hard to handle these days.

I wonder if the speech bubble from the second panel is from the whole crowd or just our Author who is the only person with her mouth open?

I'd say the crowd since the use of "we", but it seems funny if she were to yell that out alone.

We went by bullet train to Toyohashi. I'm pretty sure there were 13 of us in all.

We met up with Yamame-san in Toyohashi, but she was right on time. Too bad! (Stop that.)

Reader-added tags include "Dirty Deadlines Deferred Dirt Cheap", "Challenge: 'Extending the Eternal Night Deadline'", and "Don't cry, Nakapanda-san!"

The survey needs something hot off the presses:

    Which printer do you use?
    • Eikō
    • Neko no Shippo
    • Ryokuyō Co.
    • Kyōshin Printing
    • Taiyō Printing

(Eikō = "glory"; Neko no Shippo = "Cat's Tail"; Ryokuyō = "Green Heaven"; Kyōshin = "Mutual Trust". The last two are possibly just personal names in this case.)

    Also...

Kogasa is yelling it out alone, but speaking on behalf of the group.

Wow Moonspeaker thanks! That gives an entirely new spectrum to the story.

"Dirty Deadlines Deferred Dirt Cheap"? I'm not sure how THIS one applies to Funny Valentine/D4C (if that tag was supposed to refer to SBR at all, anyway). Sudden misfortune redirected to Nakapanda?

I figured it was a reference to AC/DC.

Looks like Sanae-san was able to come along on this trip! She can finally have a little screen time. Also, Kogasa-san probably won't be eating as much with her watching Kogasa a lot more closely. It's okay, Nakapanda-san, you'll survive. Don't let go of the happy just yet.

For the poll, let's with with Neko no Shippo, because cats.

...That's the second time someone thought of AC/DC and not Jojo even in tandem. How come? (I thought AC/DC's prominence had waned somewhat over the years, but given that I don't pay much attention to the rock music scene to begin with...And looking at the song's synopsis on Wikipedia, I find even less ways in which it can cohere with this strip.)

AC/DC is a pretty famous band and their songs are still regularly played over the radio all the time. Dirty Deeds, Highway to Hell, Back in Black, and more are all really popular songs on the level of famous Queen songs. AC/DC is much more famous than JJBA in any case.

The original tag is a tweak on the standard Japanese translation of "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap", which mainly refers to the Stand, but also to the AC/DC song from which it takes its name. I just lucked out that I could keep the alliteration and the changed meaning.

I never read JJBA; everything I know about the series is secondhand, and I didn't know there was a Dirty Deeds Stand. (I also didn't recognize any of your abbreviations, and I could only place "Funny Valentine" as either a Sinatra or Cowboy Bebop reference.) However, a local radio station plays the AC/DC song at least once a week.
