What I can't help but laugh about is that, based on the mythology (mind you, this is always up to speculation) Vampires had no problem whatsoever with ‘Lunatic’ Lupus Canis Werewolves...
Lupus Canus Werewolves (a.k.a. ‘moon dogs) were C-class Monsters (read:minor annoyances to Demon Hunters) that only showed up on the night of the full moon.
    ...
It was the ‘Alpha-Lupus’ (or ‘Grande Lobo’, if you’re being more technical, the Spanish Conquistadores ‘found’ this one) Werewolf types that were the S-class monsters on par with (or better than) the Vampires. They could change at any time they pleased (night or day), retain their monstrous strength even in human form (not as much as a vampire), were faster than vampires, could infect via saliva (at range if they could spit that far into an open wound) and could control any nearby wolves or lesser werewolves... usually through mind_rape. They did wax and wane with the phases of the moon though, so they still centered around the full moon.
…Of course, they (Alpha Lupus) are pretty much a Christian (Catholic/Protestant) monster (that was exported from the Americas in the era of pirates), I admit.
This is leaving aside Hollywood Werewolves.

But still, given that most people aren't as... well, immersed in this sort of thing as I am, the competition between these two is something I look forward to seeing more of regardless.

    Sorry for random long post.

    Werewolf info.

Nice and all. But Kagerou there is a Lupo Garu, which is a French werewolf/vampire thing, not a Spanish werewolf.

Man, Kagerou's already got 3 pairing candidates at first appearance. Is that a new record?

Any 'werewolf' creature that turned only on the night of the full moon (whether or not they retained their minds) got thrown into the 'Lunatic' Lupus Canus category by ‘the church’ (and thus the demon hunters) until they proved themselves to be more of a threat. Lupo Garu included (Lunatic in this case does not mean insane, but rather ‘moon based’).
Military Intelligence has apparently always been an oxymoron.
Although, I suppose it had something to with ‘the church’ (-es) only having a couple thousand agents total spread out over all of Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas... and this was combining denominations (including Catholic/Protestant) that did not work well with each other, if at all, so...

As an aside, Spain and France traded mythology, legends, and old wives’ tales almost instantaneously, so it’s no wonder that the Grande Lobo would show up in France as the Loup Rois (yes, plural, I don’t know why) within a very sort timeframe.
The difference existed in the beast’s appearance. A Loup Roi looked something akin to a bi-pedal slightly anthromorphic wolf, sleek, nimble, and lithe; on the other end of the spectrum a Grande Lobo apparently looked like a Manly Man with Burning-Raging-Testosterone poisoning wearing nothing but a tattered loin-cloth and their own (thick) fur... now try getting that image out of your head.
(The Loup Rois are the classical interpretation, but I defaulted to the Alpha-Lupus/Grande Lobo on precedent of antiquity)

    ----

This is Random, but you mentioned the werewolf/vampire aspect of the Lupo Garu.
Did you know that the stereotypical Vampire trait ‘burns in the sunlight’ originally didn’t belong to Vampires at all?
    It actually belonged to Werewolves.
…I’m not positive, but I think it belonged to the Lupo Garu as a matter of fact.
    Kind of silly, yes?

Looking at the comments, my knowledge about these sort of things seems to be so lacking compared to those who truly look deep into it. I feel so noob compared to you guys.

Regarding Kagerou and Remi, I guess all we need now is Warugaki to make them fight with supreme badassery.

Be warned, mythology is like TV Tropes...
You get started and 'today' can suddenly become 'sometime last week'.
