Yeah, critical chance is increased for both sides, so there is an increased chance to lose your ship daughters.

And in real life, the night battles of Ironbottom Sound were some of the most ferocious surface engagements of the Pacific.

Because I'm a low level cap'n with my highest ship being 20, most of my battles always end with one ship hurt and the opposing side with one or two left. Night Battles are a breeze. I haven't had to lose anyone as of yet, but I seriously am afraid of moving on once I get into the real start of sortieing.

Unless I'm remembering wrong, the only time you can have someone sink is if you start a new battle with someone at major damage, right? That being said, night battles don't count as new battles; just continuations of the ones that were already started. As long as they didn't start the initial fight with major damage, they shouldn't sink, yeah?

Ah. Thanks for clearing that up. I'm a semi-new-ish player, so I'm not too well versed on older mechanics ^^;
