The Japanese alcohol in osechi... indeed is quite a thing, isn't it...
In January, you can drink it at New Year's.
Fried octopus... Sounds like it would go just perfect with sake, doesn't it... Both 凧 (kite) and たこ (octopus) are pronounced the same.
All Shino ever does is drinking!
Cinderella Girls Theater 劇場第222話『新年ガールズトーク』 Theater Episode 222 - New Year's girls talk
What about Osechi-ryouri? Isn't it quite exquisite? Osechi-ryouri is a specially prepared dishes eaten on New Year's. They are pretty expensive and a lot of its ingredients has some kind of symbolical meaning.
In Rio we celebrate with fireworks, but Japan's New Year is silent?
Is that so? Even during Japanese New Year there are some pretty showy things here and there!
...Shino-san, what exactly is the reason for mentioning alcohol?
That's it! I still haven't seen shishimai, ya know! Shishimai is the form of traditional dance with dancers wearing a costume like the one shown in this panel.
Drinking goes much more smoothly on joyous occasions, doesn't it...
Natalia loves the dance of shishimai!
And what about flying the kites? When a lot of them line up, they look so splendid and exhilarating!
