Hmm, second paragraph implies that "Plan Souya 4" was a military operation of sorts, but third paragraph says <<"Plan Souya 4" lost his right arm>>. Could it also be about Meguru/Genyuu, that her arm is also transplanted?

Also, in case it wasn't obvious enough, kanji for "Ancient Dragon" say "Kamishiro Dragon", so Tamaryuu is also dead by 2250...

Actually, I think that's supposed to read literally as "age of gods", not Kamishiro. That falls more in line with the reading of "ancient dragon".

So I'm assuming "Luna the Fool" is Seren.

That sounds like a total deviation from the nonsensical shenanigans that this series has been defined by in the past. Suddenly, Meguru is Homura?

I get the impression it won't get much play just because it's so vastly different from the rest of the series. While a few of these indie strips have gone Cerebus Syndrome in the past, those are mostly a matter of creator breakdown - I'd expect something more like Sluggy Freelance, where a supposedly serious incident is constantly peppered with humorous side-stories. (This guy just did nearly half a year on a parody of some television skit involving smacking kids with a paper fan...)

Tamaryuu called herself "ancient dragon". See post #1416829, first strip, last panel. Can you check if those are the same moonrunes?

Thanks. Well, that basically confirms it's Tamaryuu's arm that was transplanted.

Tamaryuu was also called that in the commentary of the comic about how Seren killed her. Though it didn't have the special reading of ancient dragon, so I translated it literally as 'age of gods dragon'.

Re-read and fixed the line about the arm being replaced (and a few other minor changes). Plan Souya 4 (or Operation Souya 4-Go, which Kancolle has taught me is the correct way to translate it) is indeed a military operation. The arm replacement is on Genyuu.

In a flash of light that engulfed the entire world, all the surviving humans and youkai dreamed of a "future". Was it a vision produced by the thoughts of the people, or perhaps---
In 2251 AD, one wizard commanded the entire unified world. Skilled in using thunder magic, she was given the name "Rai-jin" (the 'jin' meaning 'blade', 'god', 'fast', or 'person'). 'Rai' meaning thunder
A survivor of the disastrous suppression operation "Operation Souya 4-Go", which took place at the South Pole on July 14, 2250 AD, she was recognized for twice repelling the disastrous invasions of Nepal and Washington, and thus was a hero in the eyes of both humans and youkai. However, during the defense of Washington, she took a direct hit from a curse (the marking on her right cheek is proof of this) and lost her immortality from the miracle drug.
After taking office, she took strategic command of the battle in the alternate dimension ruins in the Bermuda Triangle, and was successful in repelling three disasters. However, there were a great number of casualties, and she was heavily wounded. Both eyes and her heart were wounded and healed, which was difficult and barely saved her life, but the eyes were taken from Luna the Fool and Elza Harmonia Necrostra, and the heart from Demon Lord Eldelita, who had all fought and died during that battle. Also, it is said that during "Operation Souya 4-Go", she lost her right arm and had an ancient dragon's arm transplanted during surgery to revive her.
In the early morning of July 13, 2251 AD, gambling on the possibility of completely ending this hopeless situation, she jumped back through space/time. She never revealed what she saw, but at noon on that same day, on the land formerly known as Asia with the few remaining soldiers, the final battle operation "Operation Yamato 2-Go" was initiated.
With the transplant of the great ones' relics (sorcery gear) and the demon lord's heart (heart of lord), she exceeded the magic power coefficient of her master, Luna the Fool, and with casting speed rivaling that of high speed casting (quick spell rune), she rose to the same level as her master's no-casting technique. However, as the price for her damaged immortality, using high class magic would put a heavy strain on her body, and constantly confronting the disaster would require her to use high class magic, and the burden would obviously affect her body more than just that.
