More or less... I mean "plecostomus" doesn't exactly have the same effect as "catfish." Some people may not realize that plecostomus* and catfish are related, and it's easier to connect a paw pose with "catfish" than it is to do so with "plecostomus."

paw pose -> cat -> catfish -> plecostomus

You see what I mean?

*this is, in fact, the plural form of this word

The point was to get people to look it up and discover that they are catfish, since it's not widely known. So mission success.
