She's a surveillance ship. Like the other daughters, she's showing off some aspect of the new ship's properties. In this case, she's presumably listening to the GPS navigation voice, although it's supposed to showcase intelligence-gathering capabilities. (The way that "likes splashing in the pool" was supposed to show off "is a submarine".)
Did they all have these kids when they were 12 (or 11-16) in this series?
I presume from how they are portrayed that most of the destroyer kids are kindergarteners, so they'd have given birth around 18 or 19 or so.
