Zuikaku's wearing Shoukaku's band, so that means she's gone and it's after Battle of Philippine Sea (June 1944). With Zuikaku's "injuries" she's of course now going to meet her fate at Battle of Leyte Gulf (October 1944).
With Zuikaku sinking, the last of the old glory of the Kido Butai went with her.
On that page is a good image of Zuikaku's crew saluting for the lowering of the national ensign and a final "Banzai" while the ship is still listing and sinking. As a military man, I can appreciate the maintaining of military discipline and customs during such a troubled time.
