The note says that "feind" is the correct word, however German words that end with a 'd' are pronounced as if they ended with a 't'. For example, "Hund" (dog) is pronounced "Hunt". So the author has written the correct pronounciation.

I'll also take this chance to mention that German words that start with the letter 'v' are pronounced as if they started with the letter 'f'. For example, "Vater" (father) is pronounced "fater" and "Panzer vor" is pronounced "Panzer for".
