As proven, there are a lot of shipgirls who's names I don't know by hart, yet I can recall seeing them. Since starting this pool, I've come across shipgirls I have NO memory of seeing before now. No offense to any fans of hers who might be reading, but this was the first time I can recall seeing Myoko.

I should say that my intro to Kancolle was reading yuri doujins. Since I started this pool, I've spent a lot of time scouring the KC wikia... And I've still made mistakes. Never the less, I've learned a lot about all the ladies who populate the Naval and Abyssal Fleets. Plus, I've found an artist that I'd be happy to pay to support, and I've been able to talk and 'work' with some interesting people on this site.

Question: Do Ryuujou's actions qualify it for being included in the “Charisma Establishment” pool?

There isn't enough "charismatic splendor" for that pool. Also, be mindful of tagging colors onto a greyscale image. Actually, scan artifacts should be included on some of these, too.

It's curious you have never heard about Myoukou, given she portrays the class name in herself and she has been present since the game started. Also, the myoukou_pose is a recurring meme. That's like saying you know any of the Akatsuki class except Akatsuki, or Hiei but you don't know who the Kongou sisters are. They're not as numerous as the Mutsuki class, it's only four.

However, given the popularity of destroyers in serafuku (sailor uniform) outfits and the lack of appeal OL (office lady) outfits receive over the more than a hundred different ships, I suppose it's understable.

I don't actually play the game, I mainly just read doujins (at first). So my awareness of the series and the culture surrounding it was/is limited.

When I started on this pool, I knew obvious things like Nagato and Mutsu were battleships, or who Akagi and Kaga were, how the destroyers were all little girls, and so on. It's really thanks to this website that I've learned as much as I have- mainly as a result of reading Kancolle Puchimasu or hisahiko's Haruna-centric Kancolle fan series.

Even in Puchikolle, Myoukou Pose was a thing. The puchis wore Myoukou masks on several occasions, and there was a gag where someone took pieces of someone else's face, and somehow rearranged them into Myoukou's damage pose face...

(11 total in that one series...) Some artists "never draw Myoukou in anything but that pose,":posts/1669870 until it got so old hat she got Kai Ni artwork just to have a different pose.

(Oh, and Myoukou has a bun. Artists keep forgetting it, but she has a bun, not a bob cut!)

The other big things to know about Myoukou are that she is the Yamato Nadeshiko-ish mature older sister, but is 'scary when mad', and Hatsukaze was sunk by "Myoukou-nee-san" ramming into her, so she has a "killer headbutt" (like Keine). Also, she's a survivor, but lost her aft (legs) in a submarine attack (USS Bergall) and was left in port until being scrapped after the war.

Just need to finish up that one panel. :)
