What Kirishima did minus the bonus cutesy 'teehee~' reminded me of Admiral Nelson putting the spyglass on his blind eye when he was told the retreat signal was raised.
My first girlfriend used to do this to me but it was because she so was so blind that her glasses were extremely high strength. So, when she had them on her eyes were "zoomed out" and looked slim like those of a stereotypical stern, strict businesswoman but when she took them off they became puppydog-esque huge and round like a professional cosplayer's dream. Completely unfair.
