    If the textbook is written vertically, then yes (It's not fun to read if you're not used to it). The calculations would be written horizontally when you were actually doing them, though. Usually.

    There's a style guide for this stuff somewhere, IIRC.

    Not all of them. I remember some of university's use materials have numbers written like how they are unless it takes more than 3 letters space to write them, including commas, dots, etc even if they are written vertically.

    So she is consistently throwing a ball 11m up then calculating its velocity at 1.5sec and recalculating distance? Either way, a little shipgirl that can do that in only a few seconds is definitely high tech.

    Modern FCS vs. WW2-era FCS. Just one of the new Kaga's copters has more processing power than all major fleets of the war combined.

    well, today's smartphones have more processing power than Apollo 7 rocket, so I'm not really surprised

    She really doesn't look like a genius, though.
    H...
    What's she muttering about?
    V=m/s == ≊ 10 ≊10x1.4 =14m/s ≊50km/h
    HIGH-TECH!!
    This is a cutting-edge ship?
