Isn't the -ko ending usually reserved for girls?

It is, though there's a post among the Kyonko tags that shows the name written as "Suzumiya Haruhiko", whereas the Shumi no Heya doujin refers to genderswap Haruhi as "Haruki"

Imho, it is too soon to start tagging genderswap Haruhi as either "Haruhiko" or "Haruki", at least until they settle down for one name

In that case, it would be "-hiko" (彦), though, which is used for male names, not "-ko" (子) which is in female names.

I chose to use "hiko" since most artists seem to be using the name...

is the Shumi no Heya doujin the source of all this gender-bending madness?
if it is than Haruki would be more appropriate...

Ah, I see it now. It was subtle. The hair style looked so much like Kyon's that I figured they were both supposed to be him.

KyonXKyonko doesn't seem too strange to me though, in all honesty , if I could make a clone of myself and genderswap it, it'd probably turn out to be my perfect girl =X
