It is normal for aircraft carrier to be very long since aircraft need runway
Tenryuu is old model light cruiser(may be one of oldest ship in kantai other than grandmother Kongou) so she is smaller than other ship(only little longer than destroyer)
Newer model light cruiser such as Oyodo(around 190m) Agano Class(around 170-180m) Sendai,Nagara,Kuma Class(around 160m) usually are bigger than Tenryuu
