I would love to participate in real discussions, except that the only things that I know about that I feel comfortable sharing my knowledge (and not making an ass out of myself) are motorcycles, cars, and real estate in WA state.

Huh. I like that way of thinking, Bansho, and it also allows me to look for hentai of some of my other favorite characters with less guilt. Kyonko is my type, but I just can't ignore the Kyon thing... Any comments on that?

BigBear, I too came for the boobies (and what nobler purpose is there?), I was more or less asking if there was some sort of stigma against intelligent discourse, ala 4chan's "shut up and fap" mentality. Also, this is the internet, you don't have to be qualified or knowledgeable to participate in discussion. ^_^

Some of the early Kyonko stuff made some attempt to link the two (post #209726 is pretty successful for example), but lately all I see are images... Like this one, pretty much.

Every time I see a Kyonko image I have the same feeling, that it JUST DOESN'T WORK. But hey, don't let that spoil it for the rest of you guys--I mean, I only expressed my feelings on Kyonko cause someone asked.

It depends at which stuff you look at. For example, I think the Shumi No Heya comics do a decent job and make the Kyonko thing work.

On the other hand, the Fight Kyonko (Ganbare Kyonkosan) comics do not. In these, Kyonko really is just a blah character with a flat breasts complex.

I'm not quite sure why so many artists lean more toward the latter. Sex aside, Kyon isn't Kyon without sarcasm and cynicism.

I always thought that a plot arc where Haruhi decides that a school for girls would be more fun and (unwittingly) bends reality to make it happen would be interesting. Of course, I'm not fond of Haruhiko, or just men in general though, so I'm a little biased. (Yes, yes, I know, double standard across gender lines, etc||sex!=gender)
