Finally a "good" pic of the Dragon Slayer with his beloved valkyrie.

There's something really beautiful in this picture, it really catches their tragic love. Perhaps because their designs and classes are, in my humble opinion, complementary.

I really hope there'll be more fanarts of Siegfried and Brynhild together in the future.

Except she's not his beloved Valkyrie. In the Nasuverse Siegfried and Sigurd are treated as two different people. Brynhild's lover was Sigurd, not Siegfried (the Brynhilde in his story was a queen, not a Valkyrie). This is explicitly stated by Brynhild herself. She says Siegfried reminds her of her beloved Sigurd, but he's not him.

So... does that mean we should tag this as cheating?

    ^More like "shipping" eh?

Heh, even the title of the artwork says it: "Nibelungenlied (Fake)"

I already know that, I was refering to old myths. I must say I'm kinda impatient to see how Sigurd will look (though I think it's kinda stupid to separate Norse Sigurd from German Siegfried, since they're basically the same person), considering how Beowulf turned out to be quite badass.

I still consider them same people, like how there's multiple Arthurs, Gilgameshs and Cu Chulainns.

Also by Nibelungenlied Siegfried is still married to Kriemhilde, so however you want to look at it, this is 'cheating'.

I agree with you about Gilgamesh and Cú Chulainn, but Arthur's case could be discussed since Nasuverse's version turned out to be a woman named Arthuria.

I never implied it wasn't cheating.
Like I said, I wasn't talking about the Nibelungenlied but about myths like the Edda or the Völsunga Saga where Siegfried/Sigurd awakens Brünhild/Brynhild, promises to marry her, dies by her will because of shenanigans and reunites with the regretful valkyrie in the afterlife. That's why I was talking about "tragic love".

So far we basically know one thing about the guy: he wears glasses. It's why Bryn's Valentine chocolate was shaped like a pair of glasses.
I know, it's weird for a centuries old hero of legend but hey, you mentioned Beowulf and he showed up in jeans.

You're right, that's weird, but we can only wait and see, maybe it'll be good, but I think it'll be hard, if not impossible to top Siegfried. I'm not objective though, as I really love Saber of Black.

I guess you just can't expect TM to go the normal way: Andersen is a nerdy shota voiced by Koyasu, several males are now females (but never the other way), Alexander is a red-haired bearded hulking manly badass instead of a blonde pretty boy badass (but I still like that kinda barbarian appearance of his)...

Concerning Beowulf, his creator said he was inspired by Tyler Durden, which explains why he just beats the shit out of his opponent instead of using Tyrfing and Naegling. I thought it was strange at first, but in the end, that goes well with his "blood knight" attitude that enjoys fighting so much that Mad Enhancement doesn't prevent him from speaking normally.

Actually, many eireis summoned as Servants appear with different garments than in their legends, for example it is established that

    Shirou

did not wear Archer's red costume during his crusade and neither Cu Chulainn or Diarmuid wore their spandex in the mythology. See Diarmuid's flashback in Fate/zero, he was wearing entirely different clothings.

Same cases goes double with guys like Kintoki who appears in modern clothings.

So if anything, Sigurd could just be wearing glasses for his "modernized" design.
