I think it's the angle. The artist really did a terrible job when it comes to the angle of the picture. If he/she did it from an aerial-view looking down, it might be better, but at this angle she not only looks like she's 450 lbs, but the picture looks like she's... well... melting in a way.
ah i see what your referring to on the angle, i admit the her abs give off a weird look there to allude to a bad angle. but i don't the angle itself is so bad as compared to the blur on the top and bottom. since what you pointed out might not necessarily be noticed right off the bat compared to other areas that would get more attention.
