That's strangely contradictory since the earliest sake was made from rice that has been chewed and throughly mixed with saliva, the so-called kuchikami sake---and normally be used in rituals.

Amaterasu agrees. The reason why the Sun appears in daytime and the moon at night is because she refuses to look at or speak to him over it.
