I wonder if the "manga" Fubuki borrowed are +18 or not?

Although knowing Suzuya it's probably just a bunch of harmless romance manga with characters that look oddly like Fubuki and the Admiral.

I'm not really certain since I didn't follow the pool in its entirety but the だっけ in the last panel imply that she's wondering if she had borrowed the manga from Suzuya, no? The last line's probably there for the punchline next page.

That's what the "didn't I?" was for; but Moonspeaker already changed it, so...

Yep.... And I thought he finally decided to ring his Fuboo, I mean Fubuki.

Sorry if I intruded. In retrospect, removing the final question mark and maybe adding an "Oh," at the front of the sentence would have worked too.

Nah, I bet the mangas are titled "Everlasting Summer Blizzard", and so she'll eventually be reading a manga of herself reading a manga of herself reading a manga of herself reading a manga of herself reading a manga of herself reading...

I doubt that's going to work. Ending the sentence with "didn't I" implies "I had borrowed the manga, might as well read them" rather than the "Hmm, I wonder where did these come from again?" feel that Fubuki's line had.

By the way, the thought just hit me all of a sudden but is it a known fact that two ellipses in two different speech bubbles (e.g. the bubbles in panel 1 & 2) represents a brief pause like a comma does? I always thought it works like normal ellipses and you're supposed to drag the pronunciation out, which makes the Admiral's line sounds as if he's apologizing and consoling Fubuki rather than informing her of the reason for his late return.

I might have been reading my manga the wrong way all these while o.o.

The ellipsis doesn't really represent dragging out at all, it's a pause, always has been - although the previous word may be extended slightly to emphasis the following pause, but it's usually done with intonation. Unless it's being used in the other sense to mark where a section of text has been removed as in "The President... said 'Hello'", where ... is showing that, say 'of the United States' was removed from the quote.

In Japanese, 。。。 represents 99% of the time the 'pregnant pause'. In a way, you could be mentally dragging it out, but it's very much a pause if spoken. When going between two speech bubbles as in here, you can various use ellipses to link (no pause), commas or em-dashes; all of which link them into one contiguous sentence. Given that in the sentence provided here, ので would likely be followed by a pause anyway, using any of the linking punctuation would be fine.I think the use of 借りたん, implies that she's well aware of where they came from, she just forgot that she did in the first place; but then again, it's 3AM JST, so could just be even more sleep deprived than usual.

Oh man, please let it be that these manga star one or more girls who keep accidentally flashing their love interest the way Fubuki does. This might finally clue Fubuki in on just why her admiral keeps acting the way he does.

Thanks for the interesting read! Had always thought "..." meant that the word's supposed to trail off momentarily followed by a pause / brief silence (essentially, something like なぁ with a longer pause before the next word).

As for the last panel, I still think she doesn't know where did the manga come from (note: I don't mean from who did the book come from) and subsequently questions herself whether she borrowed any manga from Suzuya as of late. Well, I guess it will be clear when the next page's up.

Edit: Still, the current text suggests that she's looking for the manga, i.e. "Didn't I borrowed some book from Steve... where was it again?", so it's probably even further off than the first translation.

She saw the stack of manga she borrowed and said "Ah" before she said "Didn't I borrowed some manga from Suzuya-san"
She saw that stack and remembered she did borrow them and proceeded to read them

That's the thing, the line's supposed to suggest that she either
    1. Forgot whether she borrowed the manga from Suzuya
    2. Not sure if the manga's there because she borrowed from Suzuya

...Which basically boils down to roughly the same thing with subtle difference but definitely not the way you describe it. I'll revert the note to Moonspeaker's version first. Paracite can revert it later (preferably after a sleep :v) if he thinks otherwise.

The manga belongs to the Quad Torpedo Fairy, and is a battle series which huge increases in power every story arc. It's where she learned her techniques.

Given the argument over what that line should be, its meaning changed quite a few times. When I read it, it implied the manga was Suzuya's.

Well, it's her own room (unless she decided to sleep elsewhere) - so I doubt that stack is something Tokonatsu forgot.

...isn't the place Tokonatsu's spending the night at the same place Suzuya lives?

I think it isn't. Judging by shipgirls, Tokonatsu is currently visiting AdmiBro's base, while Suzuya is with LesAdmiral.
