Now he owes all us readers a good explanation. It does sound like Tokonatsu's "replacement" replaced him on whatever business trips he had to do, but who knows.

I just reread lezmiral's dialogue and she didn't explicitly say that the "he" in "I think he'll come over first thing tomorrow morning" was the replacement. Kouji you sly dog...

Oh, come on. We all know this is leading up to a "I wanted it to be a surprise, so I didn't tell you about all the side-missions I was doing" ending. Kouji's only drawing this out for suspense, and as soon as there's a climax in the drama (Fubuki crying scenes) you get your resolution.

Next page will be the "Admiral realizes he actually hurt Fubuki with his Poor Communication Kills" scene, and gushy apologies will follow. (Presumably along with "Wait, so you were OK with me staring at your panties all this time?" "My panties? *think back* *blush* KYAAA!")
