Yeah, she could be a pretty good swimmer and instructor.

    That bouyancy.

EDIT: And regarding this week's Tawawa episode, seems like this girl's name in the credits is literally "Trainer-san"/"Ms. Trainer".

I don't know, those boys don't seem capable of listening to instruction... or taking their hands away from in front of their trunks.

Freestyle would have him turn his head to one side or the other to breath so he could avoid staring and bleeding into the pool.

Though he does likely have another nice view just looking down.

(I remember something like this around the age of 11 I think when the twenty-something swim team coach would actually get into her swimsuit to instruct.

Is "Tawawa" the name of a place, a proper name, or what?

It means "sagging/heavily laden", as in a branch of a fruit tree.

I think the Manager is the same guy from Episode 1 which is the MC's boss lol

So... What would be an accurate translation of "Getsuyoubi no Tawawa"?

Tawawa on Monday? Translating it as Pendulant Monday (or Pendulous/Pendant Monday) doesn't quite has the same ring to it, and Monday's Pendants is kinda misleading.

(Saggy/Droopy are even worse word choices.)

I agree for Tawawa on Monday.

I dunno, "Monday's Pendulosity" has a nice ring to it. "Pendolous" actually seems to be the most accurate English translation for tawawa, as it's used in biology to mean "sagging/heavily laden" in the same sense of "in a branch of a fruit tree". And yes, "pendulosity" is a word.

... That said, why is the series titled "Monday Morning Offerings" here?

Because Himura Kiseki started the series off by writing that it was an "offering" to those who start their workweek on Monday morning. I don't think "tawawa" was mentioned until after the pool had been going for a while.

She will always be Fitness-chan to me.

I'd considered "Monday's Bounty", which isn't quite as literal, but still gets the idea across, I think.

... Wait, why don't we just ask him (via twitter, for example) what he'd suggest for a translation of the title? Who knows, he might even be as pleasantly surprised as Okayado was to realize that he has fans not only outside Japan, but in the Western world where the dominant culture is so starkly different from East Asian norms that you'd likely forgive him for not expecting anyone from there to like his work.

I'd rather you didn't ask him, since there's just as much chance this could turn similar to mugenjin's alarm that'Horny Elf and Gentlemanly Orc' had such a significant Western following.

Why? How negatively did he react to it?

He pulled a Haruhi and got intimidated by the widespread audience and hesitant in releasing new works in fear of disrupting the popularity. Frankly I don't see that as an issue. Overcoming the fear of success is part of maturing in any field of work.
