It's a shame neverland went bankrupt. Marvelous may have the whole team and ip but it does make a 5th main title a bit more iffy doesn't it...

Cats don't love you when you feed them. When you've fed them, you're disposable. Cats love you if they think you might feed them soon, and when they want something warm to lie down upon while digesting, but only if you won't move no matter what uncomfortable position you're trapped in.

There's always Stardew Valley. It's still being worked upon, and with modding tools getting better, there's a fair degree of chance to have total map and character conversions eventually.
