Really? In the line of education work, people call parents like that "monster parents" you know.

It depends. School administrations are really getting full of themselves these days, either by trying to force their own political ideals children, or coming up with ridiculous "zero tolerance" rules for arbitrary things.

Generally I side with the teachers in these cases, because of encountering more instances of the parents being stupid than the teachers (not to say the school's staff can't be, I've seen that as well). Firsthand I got to enjoy an entire year of high school with a dumb ass in an accelerated math course because his mother felt that she knew better than the school on where to assign her boy. He spent the entire year not paying attention, eating in the back of the room, and even deliberately causing distractions in class. When his grades probably couldn't get any worse, he decided when the teacher was out to get on the unattended computer with the grade book and edit his grades for the class. I'm not sure why he was so surprised when he got in really big trouble after that when (1) the digital grade book flags the changes from the previous session and (2) the teachers always kept both a digital and physical record of all their grades. Of course his grades were the only one that was changed as well.

Ah yes. I remember those kids. I knew one during sophomore year who did a DoS attack on the schools server to delay a electronic English test. Unfortunately for him, I recognized the method and was able to undo it as well as identify him as the culprit. The thing is, he used a school computer for the exploit and he used his own ID to log in even though you can use another's ID by looking at the posted grades on the wall (username and password was the studen ID number). Generally if people are stupid enough not to study, they are stupid enough to fail at their cheating attempts.
