just played through it. Couldn't read or understand anything that was being said, but it did seem like the giving birth to the slug thingy was a bad end. Actually, it seemed like both endings were bad ends....

Uhm, no. The arctic scenes are just there for the narrative, explaining how the little tentacle girls spaceship was found there. She just brings the girl to her home, where the protagonist then gets trapped and the alien prepares to use her as an incubator/sex slave. No DNA extraction in this scene, the little girl just thought it nice to give some pleasure back to the poor doll :P
And yeah, I wouldn't call them good or bad endings, the end result is pretty much the same.
