Plants grow in the strangest of places. have several short tons of lead in 5 gallon buckets lining the side of my house (for ammunition, as well as a barrier to keep any shots fired in defense from exiting the home and hurting someone), and one bucket that I had dated to 1990 was in the shade the whole time but when I opened it up a couple of years ago, a very healthy string of flowers were growing from it. It was quite surprising, and a testament to the persistence of nature.
