I'm not sure if the following ones count as an actual part of a series, or if they're just random comic strips with no pattern to them, so I'm just going to post them separately without using this as a Parent.
Well, I decided that I would use the comment section of this first entry into the comic set to link to the parts of the comic set that mods never approved. The translation request can't be done anymore because the image won't show in the main area, but you can see the actual image of the comic by going to the side and clicking the word "Image."
Here's another one that got auto-deleted because it wasn't approved in three days. It has notes that you can read in the Notes area under History, but because of the system, you can't tell where the notes were. While his efforts somewhat went to waste, thanks for your help, Syque.
I wasn't sure if this would be awkward or what, so I thought it over and decided I should mention it anyway. Thanks to whichever mod brought back each of the ones that was auto-deleted, I greatly appreciate it.
Links to the new ones that were auto-deleted due to lack of approval. Anyone who wants to try, might be able to piece together which notes go to which parts of the comic.
Okay, I was going to leave this issue at the posts I've been making here, but seriously, I can't anymore.
Installments of this are getting auto-deleted because a mod doesn't approve them. It would be a different matter if they were merely variants of a CG set, but they're not. Two reasons the deleted ones matter:
1) There's an actual FLOW from 18 (one of the deleted ones) to 20. There's STORY here, and right now you've left it at "hay the chicks from ff4 are randomly makin out lol" 2) 18 and 19 were translated, so for people like me who don't KNOW Japanese, it's now somewhere ranging from trying to impossible to figure out what notes go where (I read them BEFORE it got auto-deleted, so I know what happened in them).
Honestly, I sometimes get irked by some of the things that do get a pass compared to some of the things that don't, but I try not to be a jerk about it because the mods probably just don't care about the same things I do. This is pretty significant; it's cutting out some important bits to the comic sequence.
I'm the one who's been approving or undeleting the instalments, mainly for the reasons you mentioned (continuity, translations). Other mods have different priorities. Things would be easier if you only posted high-quality pictures, because then you could get contributor status, and your posts wouldn't need to be approved. However, a lot of your uploads aren't danbooru-quality, so they need to be screened.
I get mixed signals on what would be the quality for danbooru; there are times where ones I'm sure would be good for danbooru get auto-deleted, while others that I could completely understand getting auto-deleted, get an immediate pass. It doesn't help that in normal cases, I'm of the mindset that it's up to the viewer to decide if they want to see it (because that pre-disposes me to offering it in times of uncertainty).
As examples, these two seem like out of the ones I uploaded, they would've be auto-deleted:
I have a hard time uploading/approving stuff with Japanese on it since I don't understand it. It could be hilarious (but probably isn't), I just don't know.
So I usually just leave those for some other janitor or mod to look at who actually knows what it says.
Still not sure why some things get denied that seem good and others are accepted fast that seem subpar or not too good. Does anyone know why THIS got deleted? Or was it a case of it slipping by unnoticed?
