I gotta admit, hugging the furballs' tails would be a fine thing.
So it would seem, but the tail is awfully close to- if not already touching her face and maybe it's just me, but if there's a pet hair on my pillow, sticking up, brushing against my cheek or worse, bottom of my nose! it becomes so agitating in an instant. I'd hug the fluff! But keep it at chest height.

That is true. Not all people can handle it, perhaps hugging the tail in the chest...
