12 December 1944 Uzuki was torpedoed by the PT boats in the Ormoc Bay, 80 km northeast of Cebu. On the same day, Yuuzuki also sunk in air attack, 105 km north-northeast of Cebu. With this, all of Mutsuki/Uzuki class destroyers were lost.
