(Of the non-Iowa shipgirls Gangut is the oldest by launch date and by years of service. Kongo's still the oldest commissioned ship, and Iowa I still technically counting years afloat, so she's the oldest at nearly 75 years old).
Side note, the Russians are restoring a 1860s ironclad monitor (Strelets or Стрелец) to its original configuration. Based on the American Passaic-class monitor, the Russian ship was built in 1864 and was eventually rebuilt as a floating workshop (Plavmasterskaia No. 1) that served through both World Wars. Her fate was unknown until recently when talk surfaced that funds were being raised to restore her as a historical monitor.

Looking at what have been translated from Iowa's line so far, Gangut may have indeed used tricks such as tick throws or the infamous grab-through-fireball glitch.
Nobody seems to have pointed it out, but turtle Guile is apparently a meme in Japan, and a key part of the joke in both this and the parent strip. Nicopedia article here.
