You know, directly injecting tranquilizers into your arm might not be the best idea in the long term.
Video games would have you believe that jamming a syringe of military painkillers into your arm won't explode your veins, or knock you out, or god knows what, and it's a good idea to do whenever you're injured by gunfire (and at the highest risk of going into shock).
You could go on for an hour on that topic. I'm sure the medically competent would love to tell us about how absurd healing mechanics in video games is, was, and always will be. Otherwise, better to just take it at face value.
