Except that animation is 24 frames per second. That's approx. 12 drawings per second. Assuming an episode is 20 minutes long, that's 14,400 drawings per episode. It's not the least bit cost-effective or time-efficient to use this much detail. Don't get me wrong, I wish there was this much detail in animation too, but it's just not going to happen.
Unless they make machines do it automatically! Somehow, the could program some computerized stick figures to do the animation layout, and then the computer will draw the frames!
