You know how Edison is famous for patent and sueing? Applied that to the Kinetoscope, and subsequently all of the movie that have been filmed with it, and you see why director of his age don't like him.

Oh, yeah. I'm thinking she's probably Steven Speilberg or Alfred Hitchcock.

FGO Reddit is leaning towards someone a bit more obscure:
"Marie-Georges-Jean Méliès, known as Georges Méliès (/meɪˈljɛs/;[1] French: [meljɛs]; 8 December 1861 – 21 January 1938), was a French illusionist and film director who led many technical and narrative developments in the earliest days of cinema. Méliès was an especially prolific innovator in the use of special effects, popularizing such techniques as substitution splices, multiple exposures, time-lapse photography, dissolves, and hand-painted color. He was also one of the first filmmakers to use storyboards.[2] His films include A Trip to the Moon (1902) and The Impossible Voyage (1904), both involving strange, surreal journeys somewhat in the style of Jules Verne, and are considered among the most important early science fiction films, though their approach is closer to fantasy.

Early in 1909, Méliès stopped making films, and in February, he presided over the first meeting of the International Filmmakers Congress in Paris. Like others, he was unhappy with the monopoly that Edison had created and wanted to fight back."

The reason why Hollywood, California is America's movie-making capitol is because the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals was famously much less willing to put up with the patent bullshit of Edison. (In distinct contrast to the Fifth, based in Texas, which allows for Patent Trolls to leech money from legitimate inventors in exchange for the heavy bribes they take.) New York started out as where everyone went to make movies, but they all moved to California to escape from Edison's patent.

That would work...If she isn't a Rider in the first place. As best, he would be an Archer with that huge cannon that aim to the moon, unless Riyo take the interpreptation to equal that to a mass driver...which, in this case, it would work, since the cannon work more like a delivery system than a weapon.
