Meh, you can immerse a transistor radio or headset in bathwater to no ill affect (to you anyway, the electronics might get rather soggy and gross). In fact, though, they'll probably just keep running.
I dunked a cheap walkman once, and the thing just kept playing, freshwater isn't conductive enough and the voltage isn't high enough to make much of a difference.
