@WhiteCrow Meshiuma has nothing to do with cooking. It's the Japanese equivalent of the word schadenfreude which means deriving pleasure from the misfortune of others. (他人の不幸でメシがうまい)

It usually is, especially when it's Sazanami using the term. However, in this context it literally means "the food is good". Otherwise there's no way to make sense of the expression. In fact, the pixiv wiki article states that it indeed is sometimes used this way:

もう一つの意味は料理上手という意味がある。

And メシウマ勢 (meshiuma group) would mean "those who cook well".
