    To be fair, most names at their roots are just random words for things and concepts.
    Western names tend to have had these roots disappear over time due to cultural and linguistic mixing over centuries or even millennia, but the Japanese still have names composed of totally normal words still in everyday use in their language.
    So for the Japanese it probably feels natural to make fantasy names out of common foreign words.
