Yes indeed, theres no doubt in my mind that Lelouch is crafty enough to pull that off, but STILL, I personally did not wanted to speculate or to wait for a third season to knew if he lived trough

I think I'll cast my vote for dead Lelouch. As for what CC says at the end, remember that she can talk to dead people through C. This version of the ending really screws up the Zero Requiem.

You're forgetting Marianne wasn't actually dead when CC talked to her.

Also for Zero Requiem to work, it doesn't really matter if Lelouch is dead, so long as the world THINKS he's dead.
