Grizzly: Isaac? Who's that? Never heard of him.

Then again, weren't the Three Laws of Robotics thoroughly debunked as impractical by the original author to begin with?

Yep, and these fucks are the guys who are constantly blowing up your ammo dumps, food shipments and the like, hardly a stretch to say they would go back to fucking you over if let go. So doubly useless to plead that law (as the translation puts it right now).

If I recall that if one is captured on committing sabotage on military's equipment etc--- said person is basically executed.

Not only that, but, much like the "Prime Directive" of Star Trek, they were created for the sole purpose of being broken in a dozen different ways in a dozen different short stories. The whole point of the three laws is to suggest that trying to set up some kind of absolute laws that cannot ever be broken by a sentient rational thinking being with all the time in the world to find ways to circumvent them is inherently doomed, as it requires literally thinking of - and forming contingencies for - everything, even something never before encountered. (Which itself is basically Jurassic Park's theme; failure because they assumed control over something just because visible signs of their failure hadn't manifested yet.)

I've never understood why either the Three Laws or Prime Directive ever caught on, considering the whole point is that they only exist to be inadequate.

Technically, if the laws were working, they wouldn't need to plead to the laws, because robots would be hardwired to be completely incapable of harming a human or not protecting a human from harm unless forced into some Trolly Problem situation where they will let the few die to save the many.

Actually, in Chapter 4's Night Mission, RO635 leads a Squad of T-Dolls behind enemy lines to get some important files from a human soldier. However, when Sten finds the injured soldier, he orders her to destroy the document to prevent it from falling into Sangvis forces hands. Even though she was task to take the document, she can't refuse the soldier's order and was about to destroy it until RO635, whose a Commander T-doll, commands her to ignore the soldier's order and take the document from him.

So it appears high rank T-Dolls don't follow the Three Laws while the lower ranks do.

Well to note RO635 has something of a "command" module and follows the objective itself.

There was always a Zeroth Law of Robotics that overrides the First Rule. It was something about if something is required to save humanity as a whole, the First Law can be ignored. "A robot may not harm humanity, or, by inaction, allow humanity to come to harm." The HGR is harming humanity...blow their brains out...for humanity, girls.
