I wonder if people who preferred Kappa Hime or Bowsette as a tanned brunette are the minority? Most depictions are blonds, I guess there is a truth in blondes getting more attention..

For me, they each have a different feel to them.
Blonde Bowsette is more, "Ufu, we meet again Mario!"
Redhead and tan Bowsette is more, "I'LL CRUSH THAT PELVIS, THEN I'LL CRUSH YOU!"

Depends on what the artist is going for really.
