My expectation is that there'll be a one line shout-out purely in a dialogue box discussing the Super Crown and how crazy it would be if Bowser got it, but nothing more than that.

I don't know about this Bowletta thing, but how infamously popular is it compared to this very recent one, the Bowsette? Also, what are the odds that the average Nintendo's underaged fanbase would browse something indecent? Like the ones in this website for example. Even if this all started from one fanart ( I'm talking about this guy. It's the first one, right? ), If Nintendo found their way around it, they could just replace Bowletta with undoubtedly the most popular version of Bowser, which is Bowsette, and set it off as the franchise' marketing strategy instead of just putting it away like it never happened?
In other words, make it official as if the first fanart thing that started all this never actually happened?
